An evening with the President of the SCAA, Tracy Allen Q Grader

A lecture with the great Q Grader Instructor and SCAA President!

Book Your Place!

Tracy Allen is the President of The Speciality Coffee Association of America (SCAA) and he’s coming to Prufrock to give a talk on the 30th of January. Tracy is one of the outstanding contributors to the US coffee world and is coming to London en route to the Simonelli factory to deliver his coveted Q Grader course.

Lots is happening in the world of coffee as the SCAA launches its new sensory lexicon and groundwork is laid for the merging of the European and American Speciality Coffee Associations. Come and ask Tracy what is going on. Hear his take on the future relevance of the Q Grader qualification and find out what it takes to get through the certification process. Hear about the role his business Brewed Behaviour plays in helping producing countries market their coffees to the global coffee market. Hear about the future of the speciality coffee world from a man with one of the most extraordinary CVs you’ll encounter.

If you’re thinking about competing in the upcoming competition season, Tracy was the first ever chair of the World Barista Championships Rules and Regs Committee so you might want to hear his take on the new rules and the future of the competition.

If you’re an ambitious roaster, trying to scale up you’ll be interested to know Tracy’s Seattle based company Zoka Coffee Roaster and Tea Co. won Roast Magazine’s Macro Roastery of the year award in 2007.

Since its beginnings SCAA has been the front runner for coffee education and as we move forwards, we invite you to come and hear from the man who has been down the front driving the bus for them.
