Matthew Robley-Siemonsma is the reigning UK roasting Champion. We are delighted to introduce an intimate and exciting roasting course with him in January. We have worked in close partnership with the SCAE and Diedrich UK to create a roasting suite at Prufrock with two beautiful 1kg roasters. A Diedrich IR 1kg roaster and a Probatino 1kg by Probat. This class will see you explore full production roasting techniques. You will be introduced to SCAA green grading, you will learn roast elaluation and solubility checks, electronic roast data analysis through Cropster and you will depart the class with a clear idea how to structure a test-roasting session and how to begin to manage quality in a commercial facility. With all this said, the class will also be extremely fun and exciting and the many batches you roast during the session you will take home after the class to cup and brew with friends.
