Prufrock Coffee is a large modern cafe located on bustling Leather Lane in Clerkenwell. Over two floors, we offer tasty coffee, home-made food, coffee tastings, barista courses, talks and special events. It’s a fresh clean dynamic area suitable for meetings, working with wifi, families and intimate dining too.


At Prufrock you will be served coffee from wonderful UK Roaster Square Mile and will find featured roasters from Europe including Five Elephant, The Barn, La Cabra, Drop Coffee, Belville and many more. Our coffee programme is coordinated by founders Jeremy Challender (UK Barista Championship Head Judge) and his friend and mentor, Gwilym Davies (World Barista Champion).

Filter coffee has a special place in our hearts and we feature our three top scoring coffees each week on brew-bar which is dedicated to hand-brewing. Our rigorous coffee QC program is the cornerstone of what we do behind the bar and it has helped us bring our quality up to a level where it has been recognised as the Best Coffee In London by the Time Out. We are committed to the rich culture of sharing in the coffee world and you will find brew methods developed by many of our heroes in the coffee-sphere. Just ask our baristas what they are up to and they will show you any new ideas behind the bar that you can use at home with any of the big range of retail beans we stock.



Prufrock’s Kitchen offers a delicious range of seasonal, home-cooked food for breakfast and lunch. Our sweet & savoury baked goods are made daily in our bakery downstairs. Our seasonal menu changes regularly based on what’s best at market. We are proud to work with notable UK producers sourcing dairy products from Neal’s Yard and Northiam Dairys, vegetables from Sarah Green’s Organics in Tillingham, East Sussex, fish from Ben’s Fish of Mersey Island, and meat from Downland Farm in Wiltshire. The kitchen team take guidance and inspiration from Borough Market’s Artisan Foods founder and Prufrock director Klaus Kuhnke. On weekdays, breakfast is served from 7:30am to 11:00am, and lunch from 11:00am until 3.30pm. On weekends, all dishes are available and the kitchen is open until 3:30pm.
