Scott Rao returns to deliver a big roasting programme on the 17th of May. For the professional minded he is delivering a 12 person intensive roast analysis session in the Prufrock roasting suite. Follow this link to book in for this part of the course. The coffees he produces during this session will then be brought forward and put under the micro scope in the evening with a lecture for a larger audience with cupping and a big Q and A session to follow. Those who have attended one of Scott’s talks here before will know there is no one more critical and analytical of roast techniques and bean development. This should be an amazing opportunity to really taste and get to the bottom of coffees that have been roasted by Scott’s own hand.
Scott has done more travel and consultancy than anyone we know in coffee and comes to London with thousands of hours of roasting experience on literally thousands of coffee roasting machines. It is widely know that every roasting flu, every micro-climate in every roastery is different so it is easy to get overwhelmed as a roaster seeking to gain control over variables. Scott’s teaching style is so succinct and efficient he strips hours of labour and anxiety away, continually pointing us in the right direction; clarifying what can be controlled and how; what it is that will deliver results and showing us what techniques he use to assess these results. Most important of all, he offers such crystal clear direction in where to invest your time and money to improve quality and efficiency in the roast process.
Don’t miss it. We will have all his books on sale on the night. The evening event is suitable for any experience level so if you are a barista or roaster or just coffee curious, come and meet the world’s preeminent and most straight talking coffee educator.
Look forward to seeing you soon,
