After two years of careful planning Postcard Teas launch their very special new product at Prufrock on Thursday the 26th. The company have developed a range of teas stonerolled to order at 33 RPM on Japanese hand-carved granite millstones. The low RPM delivers an extraordinarily aromatic, sweet and balanced flavour that is specifically developed for steamed milk. UK Tea Brewing Champion Andrew Tolley from Taylor St Baristas has described this product as the ‘future of tea in cafes.’
The ease of service and efficiency in preparation, permitting latte art together with how suitable the drink is for takeaway in London made it irresistible for Prufrock to bring onto our Winter Menu. Tim tells us how delicious it tasted iced too, so look forward to some great experiments in the next few months.
Prufrock launches its stonerolled tea menu this month and are delighted to invite you to attend this event to sample the teas in 4oz, 6oz, and 8oz sizes. Tim, Alex and Jonathan from Postcard will present a talk on how this product came to be; the extraordinary grinder and the roasting of tea in London for the first time that we are aware of.
After the talk there will be a tasting and then a chance to meet the creators and have a few drinks together compliments of Postcard Teas. Beyond this, we have a world first for roasted black stonerolled tea preparation so come and take a part in this moment of change in European tea service.
